The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) submitted their recommendations on ways to enhance the relevance of the Nairobi Work Programme. The submission is endorsed by Conservation International and Stakeholder Forum.
The convening of the 68th Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN GA) on Tuesday 17 September 2013 represents the start of a key period for Member States and stakeholders. This includes a high level segment of intergovernmental meetings and a number of other events - many of which relate directly to a range of post-UN Conference on Sustainable Development 2012 (Rio+20) and post-2015 processes.
This paper has been produced by Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future and CAFOD as part of their work on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. The objective of this paper is to inform the debate about the need for convergence and coherence between the two primary processes which together constitute the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
The Sustainable Development Goals e-Inventory is now also available in two additional languages, French and Spanish. The multi-language feature enables users to both search for and submit proposals for a post-2015 global goals framework in either English, French or Spanish, thereby increasing the number of stakeholders able to use the tool.
The High Level Panel of Eminent Persons, which was appointed by the United Nations Secretary General to advise on the Post-2015 Development Agenda, has made public its recommendations in a report entitled 'A New Global Partnership: Eradicate Poverty and Transform Economies through Sustainable Development'.
Stakeholder Forum in partnership with the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and Business Fight Poverty organised on April 17 the event ‘Business and a Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda: Where Next’. The event discussed how the private sector is engaging with the current Post-2015 Development Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals process and brought together a diversity of organisations working on these issues in the private sector, NGOs, business associations, governments and research institutions.
