THE WATER, ENERGY AND FOOD SECURITY NEXUS-SOLUTIONS FOR A GREEN ECONOMY
STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION

AN INTERLINKED APPROACH TO  WATER, ENERGY AND FOOD (NEXUS)

The world is experiencing multiple pressures (unsustainable consumption patterns, resource degradation, population growth, climate change, etc.) at local and global level. These pressures are threatening access to water, energy and food (especially in the poorest sectors), and driving socio-ecological systems towards critical thresholds and planetary boundaries.

In order to address this, we need to move away from conventional approaches to one of sustainable development which consistently addresses human wellbeing through the nexus between water, energy, food and environmental security (ie. an interlinked approach).

6. Is your organisation already working on the linkages between energy, water and food?
