At the request of the Climate Investment Fund (CIF) Administration Unit, Stakeholder Forum for a Sustainable Future is supporting the mobilisation and engagement of stakeholders for the CIF Partnership Forum 2011, including the global selection process of NGOs, Indigenous Peoples and Private Sector representatives to attend the conference.

The application process for developing country representatives to be funded to attend the CIF Partnership Forum 2011 is now open, click here to apply.

The CIF Partnerships Forum 2011 (March 17-18, Tunis, Tunisia, hosted by the Asian Development Bank) aims to ensure that the CIF effectively shares lessons and fully engages stakeholders to contribute to the CIF’s strategic directions, results and impacts.

As well as supporting NGO, Indigenous Peoples and Private Sector ‘Active Observers’ to attend the meeting, the CIF Administration Unit based at the World Bank will be funding a number of developing countries representatives from these stakeholder groups to attend the meeting to ensure a wide range of voices are represented.

Stakeholder Forum is supporting the self-selection process, and together with an Advisory Group for NGOs and Indigenous Peoples and a separate Privates Sector committee, has generated two sets of criteria for selecting representatives to attend the meeting. Both of these include regional balance, gender balance and relevant knowledge or experience of the CIF programme areas.

The deadline for applications to the CIF Partnership Forum 2011 is 14th February.
