Major Groups and other Stakeholders Meeting at 1st United Nations Environment Assembly

21-22 June, Nairobi, Kenya, Major Groups and other Stakeholders convened to discuss the role, remit and objectives of the first United Nations Environment Assembly of the UN Environement Programme. In particular, participants reviewed the following items:

  • UNEA Agenda
  • Significance, Structure and Expected Outcomes of first UNEA 
  • Modalities of stakeholder engagement

Stakeholder Forum was on hand to present on UNEA’s rules of procedure and stakeholder engagement.
