Stakeholder Forum’s new UN Representative

Stakeholder Forum is delighted to announce the appointment of our new UN Representative, John Romano, who is based in New York. His appointment is effective immediately.

We are excited about having John on board, and we look forward to the dynamism, enthusiasm and sharp intellect that John will bring to the role and our organisation.

While one purpose of John’s role is to enhance Stakeholder Forum’s presence in New York, he is also a resource for both stakeholders and government. In particular, it will be John’s role to:

  • Act as the focal point for Stakeholder Forum and its work in New York and at the UN Headquarters, including liaising with UN Missions and governments, UN staff and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with delegates, UN staff, the Major Groups and other stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to support their understanding of the international processes on sustainable development.
  • Help Stakeholder Forum deliver the Sustainable Development 2015 programme, along with other project work.

We encourage you to get in touch with John. He can be reached at – jromano@stakeholderforum.org.
