This session aims to contribute to the United Nations Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals and its discussions on governance, means of implementation and multi-stakeholder partnerships, with an emphasis on the role of the private sector and capital markets. The topics addressed here will highlight how corporate governance and transparency are enhancing the contribution of the private sector on the three dimensions of sustainable development. Presentations will also illustrate with concrete examples how this is being done in practice and how the intergovernmental process can further accelerate this trend.

Speakers represent a diverse range of sectors actively involved in these discussions and who are working with partners to contribute to and closely follow the work of the Open Working Group on Sustainable Development Goals.
